Hello, My name is Mary!I am the owner and lead translator at McKee Translation. I was born in the United States and have been learning and speaking Spanish for more than 25 years.
I studied in the United States, Cuba, Spain, and Brazil. I received my M.A. in Translation from Kent State University, and a B.A. in Spanish & Latin American Language and Area Studies from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C. Before beginning my career as a translator, I worked with Spanish in many capacities: as an AmeriCorps member at Northwest Immigrant Rights Project where I provided legal aid to immigrant survivors of domestic violence, as a liaison at the GALA Hispanic Theater, as a Spanish and English teacher in the favela slums of Rio de Janeiro...and the list goes on. |
